lucy Partners with Young Survival Coalition to Support Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2009
PORTLAND, Ore.- September 3, 2009 – lucy activewear, a fashion forward women’s apparel company, is supporting Breast Cancer Awareness month with a donation to Young Survival Coalition. Founded in 1998 by three breast cancer survivors under the age of 35 who were discouraged by the lack of information and resources available to young women, Young Survival Coalition is now the premier International Organization dedicated to the critical issues unique to young women and breast cancer.
Throughout October, lucy is donating 10% of sales from its new Freesia (hot pink) lucy Flip Straw Water Bottle to the Young Survival Coalition. Retailing at $25, the stainless-steel lucy Flip Straw Water Bottle is leak-proof, 100% BPA-free and features a clip for easy attachment to belts or backpacks. “With this donation we’re inviting our customers to join us in supporting this amazing organization of young women united against breast cancer,” says Michelle Lantow, President of lucy activewear.
