ALAMEDA, California – October 1, 2010 – lucy activewear, a fashion forward performance apparel company for women, is proud to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month as a sponsor of Young Survival Coalition’s Tour de Pink national rides.
A women’s activewear brand, lucy® supports the belief that fitness is an essential part of the fight against breast cancer. Exercise can enhance well-being and improve quality of life for young women with breast cancer. This October, lucy® hopes to inspire performance just as the young women of YSC inspire others to unite against breast cancer.
YSC Tour de Pink rides provide a unique opportunity to raise funds for young women with breast cancer through one- and three-day bike rides. These exciting charity cycling events offer a chance to honor survivors, raise awareness and support important programs for young women with the disease, because no young woman should have to face breast cancer alone.
In addition to sponsoring the YSC Tour de Pink, the lucy® brand is releasing signature pink tees to help raise awareness. During the month of October, lucy will offer the “Kick It” and “Pink Race” graphic tees encouraging women to spread awareness in their own communities.
