I was super excited about this skirt for warm weather running. At first, it was very comfortable. The waist band is really comfy without sliding down and the fit is flattering. And for a five mile run or less it was fine, the shorts rode up a little, but not bad. But when I ran 8 miles, the shorts chafed the heck out of my inner thighs! I am 5'5 148 and would say I have "athletic" legs. I got a medium, but the shorts were a tad loose. I think maybe I could have sized down to small so the shorts would have had a tighter fit. Then maybe they would not have chafed.

Wow! I gave this skirt 5 stars because of how perfect I think it is. I feel bad now for ever giving another article of clothing five stars because this skirt is my new 5 star comparison. It is soooo comfortable and extremely flattering. I am 5'2'' 115lbs. I usually wear a small in Lucy but I baught this in an XS as other reviewers mentioned it ran a bit big. I usually wear long pants because I do not like the way I look in shorts, especially exercise shorts. Despite my smaller build, my thighs are the largest part of my body (mostly cellulite- yuck). So I've been trying exercise skirts lately. I own a skirt/skort from competitor LuLu Lemon and I do like that pair, those have a band of elastic at the bottom of the shorts. Now after comparing the LuLu skirt with my awesome Lucy skirt, I definatey prefer the Lucy for comfort, style and wearability.
The elastic sticky band in the LuLu skirt always rides up... and stays up making me yank them back down all the time. So I really like how Lucy's does not have that sticky band at the bottom of the shorts, super comfortable. Thanks Lucy for the perfect skirt/skort. Keep 'em coming.

Great color (got the reddish-pink), great style, fit and length; just wish they made a size smaller (I got the smallest available, XS, am 5'2", 108 lb). Also, wrinkles very easily.

The skort is wonderfully comfortable and looks great; I purchased both cherry and blue grotto so the review is for both. It's easy to care for and is in no way constrictive. Hope to see this style offered again and would love to see it in true red (cherry was quite pink) and yellow. Love Lucy.com!

Ordered this with a tank after seeing someone at the gym in a super cute Lucy tank. I was warned on sizing, but decided to give it a try anyway. I am under 5' and under 100 lbs. and the XS was too big. Too big in the waist, too long. I really wanted to love this, but alas, it was returned. If you are a bit taller, this would work just fine.
