Spotted around the office this week, here’s our roundup of lucy style!Read more
Here at lucy, we joke about how there must be something in the water because so many women here have had babies over the last three years.
One thing these women share is their love of lucy gear, which fits great, looks fantastic, and helps them stay active throughout their pregnancies. Some of them even wear lucy up until their delivery. New moms, too, love lucy because our clothes are comfortable and provide a little coverage or shaping as they’re navigating busy lives post-pregnancy.
Here are some of the items our lucy moms love, and even some tips about how to choose what to wear. Plus, check out our full list of recommendations from our lucy moms!

Boy or girl? We are going to be surprised
I’m still wearing my Hatha Leggings and Pocket Capri. I’ve sized up in the Hathas and usually wear them with the front of the waistband folded down now. I’ve sized up (twice haha) in the Perfect Core Bra – good support and coverage but still cute and comes in fun patterns for Summer 15. I just bought two of the Perfectly Posed Short Sleeves. It’s boxy with a dropped armhole so I feel on trend and not frumpy, but it’s not so short that my belly shows. Super cute alone or layered over a longer tank.
Her advice: Try everything on in multiple sizes!! Don’t assume that you’ll always have to size up, but don’t stress if you end up sizing up a couple of sizes from your pre-pregnancy size. Wear what makes you feel good (and comfortable) and what flatters you – don’t assume what used to work or not work for you will be the same with your new (and constantly growing) body, and don’t stress if your old go-to pieces aren’t as flattering as they used to be. I’ve bought a few true “maternity” items of clothing but for the most part am still shopping at the same stores I did before, just picking different silhouettes/styling things differently and/or buying a different size. Even if you’ve never been a “tight clothes” person before don’t be afraid to give it a try, I often feel better in something tight which wasn’t the case before I was pregnant.

I just found out it’s a girl! I’m super excited and couldn’t hold off waiting any longer.
For tops, I like to wear the Body and Mind Tunic, Daily Zen Short Sleeve Top, Surrender Pullover and Circuit Training Pullover. These tops aren’t tight fitting. They are flowy and the material is nice and soft, which makes them super comfortable. I love how you can dress up or dress down your outfits with these tops. I wear my normal size and probably will be able to for the next couple of months!

It’s a boy!
I just got the Studio Cami Racerback in the black/white stripe, I love the long length of this style – covers my bump and is still long enough to cover some of my bottom. I also love the support of the Crossback Tank. Also, the Feel The Beat Singlet is great as it is loose in the waist so hopefully will continue to work throughout the pregnancy as I get bigger and bigger – I have even seen another pregnant woman in my barre class wearing this same style. I also love the Keep The Pace Half Zip, I recently bought the grey and white stripe and it is very comfortable and stretches well. Also the stripes are cute and actually very flattering.

It’s a Girl!
I love the Hatha High Rise Legging– I’m 5 months so not big enough where I can’t have the high waist up over my belly. It makes me feel more tucked in and smooth under my shirt. The support of the Zenergy Bra is still comfy. For style, I like the Do Everything Cuffed Pant, if I roll the waistband once or push it down it sits under my belly.

Post pregnancy, I got into the Perfect Core, eventually. It took me awhile to get them back over my hips and thighs. Maybe if I’d sized up it wouldn’t have but I didn’t think of that ‘til later. But definitely nice for feeling more like yourself again as it’d tuck up a lot of the looser belly area.

Post pregnancy, I wore the Workout Tank and Long Sleeve layered together when I went on runs with my baby in the jogging stroller. When I was pregnant, I sized up in the Workout Long Sleeve to accommodate my belly. The larger size made it perfect for a layering top after my baby was born!
